Last night we decided to take a break from our hard work and enjoy one of our favorite pastimes. Lad took us to Skinnydippers Hotsprings just off the Banks Lowman Rd.
Lad parked in the turn out by the river and lead us to an unmarked trail. By this time it was dark and we walked closely behind Arron, who had a flashlight. The path seemed a bit treacherous in the dark and it led us up the hill for about five minutes. When we finally arrived, we were happy to see we had the whole place to ourselves. These particular Hot Springs are cool because the "keepers" have done some extensive piping. You simply get into one of the pools (there are several to choose from) and you can adjust the temperature by adjusting the cold or hot pipes. It was heavenly! We all soaked while we looked up at the stars. We saw several shooting stars and tried to name a few constellations.
We talked about the new place, and what our next project was. We made up a few new Chuck Norris jokes, and we talked about what we wanted for Christmas. I think we all agreed to just get a hot tub that seats five! (maybe that was just hot spring talk?) Anyway, we had a great time!
Thanks to Lad for discovering it and insisting we all go. Next time maybe we'll go during the day so we can see the beautiful views of the Payette down below.
